Brockhampton released 'SATURATION II,' already announced 'SATURATION III'

Brockhampton

Brockhampton are a rap collective who refer to themselves as a “boy band,” and that’s not the only way they defy expectations. They bounce between genres on every album and the group, which includes multiple queer members, tackle LGBTQ issues and challenge any stereotypes that might get thrown their way. They released their debut album SATURATION earlier this year, and they’ve just released its followup, SATURATION II, today. It’s yet another great example of the group’s energetic and charismatic style, and has group leader Kevin Abstract attacking homophobia and addressing personal struggles with his own sexuality on album standout “Junky.”

Kevin also already announced Brockhampton’s followup album, SATURATION III, and released the first single “Follow.” You can watch the video for “Follow,” stream SATURATION II, and watch two videos from II, below.

Brockhampton will be embarking on tour later this year, which includes two sold-out shows at NYC’s Highline Ballroom on September 11. The group, who have gotten multiple comparisons to early Odd Future (and who cite them as an influence), will also be making their first festival appearance at Tyler, The Creator‘s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival this October, alongside Lana Del Rey, Solange, Earl Sweatshirt, Syd and many others (tickets). All dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, Kevin Abstract, who released his own album American Boyfriend: A Suburban Love, last year, will be playing Brooklyn’s Afropunk Festival this weekend and Seattle’s Bumbershoot next week.
