Broken Social Scene cancel upcoming UK/EU tour due to health issues

Broken Social Scene, who just played a big show in Brooklyn's Prospect Park on Thursday night (7/25), have announced today that their upcoming UK/European tour has been canceled due to health issues. The band shared the news via social media with a note from Kevin Drew, saying, "I love every minute I'm able to connect with people and make memories, but I've been medically advised to avoid the physical strains touring and focus and getting my health back on point. We have a few remaining shows stateside, but those will be our last for the rest of the summer. I want nothing more to get back overseas again, and create the best experience possible but sadly I can’t do that at this moment in time. Rest has been forced upon me and I have to honour this process. So much love and gratitude to our fans. Our deepest apologies."

As Kevin mentions, BSS' remaining North American shows -- Portland on 7/27, Seattle on 7/29 & 7/30, and Whistler, BC on 8/2 -- are still on. Rest up, and get better, Kevin!
