Broken Social Scene haven't been as active as they once were, but they're slowly getting back out there. They just played their first show of 2016 -- and first US show since 2011 -- last night (7/14). It was a pre-show for this weekend's Pitchfork Festival at Chicago's Metro. The big question was what female singers were BSS going to have for these shows, and last night they had longtime contributor Amy Millan (also of Stars). You can check out a video of her singing "Anthems for a Seventeen Year-Old Girl" below. They also had Ariel Engle, who's in AroarA with BSS's Andrew Whiteman, who sang on a new song called "Gonna Get Better." (Same two as last year's Pemberton Music Festival set.) In addition to those songs and other favorites like "Cause = Time," "7/4 (Shoreline)," and "KC Accidental," they played "Book It to Fresno," the lead single off BSS co-founder Brendan Canning's upcoming solo album. Check out the full setlist and more Instagram pics/videos below.

BSS's upcoming schedule includes two NYC shows this month. They play the Friday (7/22) of the Panorama festival, and the day before that they play an intimate sold-out show at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Luke Perry (we're guessing not 90210's Luke Perry) opens. Updated dates are listed below.
