The 2018 Brooklyn Folk Festival happens April 6-8 at St. Ann and the Holy Trinity Church. This is the 10th anniversary of the festival and this year’s lineup includes R. Crumb with The East River String Band, Spirit Family Reunion, John Cohen with the Down Hill Strugglers, Elizabeth Mitchell & Suni Paz, Innov Gnawa, and lots more.

In addition to the live performances, this year’s Brooklyn Folk Festival will also feature a few film screenings: the NYC premiere of the documentary Linefork, about Kentucky banjo player Lee Sexton; How They Got Over, about the golden age of Black gospel quartets; and a 50th anniversary screening of
counter-cultural cult film, Gold. There are also workshops, and more.
