Brooklyn Folk Fest

Brooklyn Folk Festival 2016 lineup, schedule & tickets

The annual Brooklyn Folk Festival is coming up, happening on April 8-10 at Saint Ann’s Church in Brooklyn. As always, it features a mix of performances and fun workshops, events and activities. Among these will be a workshop with civil rights activist Mattie Jones, who marched alongside Martin Luther King and will be teaching freedom songs. There is also a banjo toss competition, to give you an idea of the range of options here.

This year’s lineup of performers includes Michael Hurley, Spirit Family Reunion, Jerron “Blind Boy” Paxton, Syrian-American singer Gaida, and many others. Tickets are on sale now, and you can check out the full performance and activity schedule below.

In related news, Michael Hurley announced two Brooklyn shows for April 9 & 10 at Union Pool. Tickets are on sale.
