Brooklyn Music Terminal Closed | Show Scandal
It was only four months ago that I reported the reopening of L’Amour as Brooklyn Music Terminal. Then I read on Brooklyn Rocks that they, “wanted to see Brides of Destruction and Adema at Brooklyn Music Terminal on Friday and just found out the place was closed.”
It looks like the Friday September 23rd Genitorturers/Combchrist show was a fiasco. A member of Terrofact wrote, “There were quite a few people there for Combichrist, more so than for Genitorturers at this point so we told everyone to get their money back, which apparently the venue refused to do.” Eisdrive confirmed, “They told people at the door that EISDRIVE never showed up!”
Then according to DJ Maniak, there was no club by Saturday night. “I just spoke to a friend of mine (she’s fairly active in the metal scene), And she told me her friend’s band was supposed to play there last night (Saturday), and when they showed up, furniture was being hauled out of the club”
That was a month ago. Since then bands have been posting cancellations and apologies all over the place. Does anyone know what actually happened?
