Brooklyn rapper Nick Blixky shot and killed at 21

Up and coming Brooklyn drill rapper Nick Blixky (real name Nickalus Thompson) was shot and killed in Prospect Lefferts Gardens on Sunday night (5/10) at just 21 years old. NBC New York reports:

The NYPD and the 21-year-old’s representative confirmed to NBC News that the upcoming artist, whose real name is Nickalus Thompson, was found with gunshot wounds in front of 200 Winthrop Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens around 9:30 p.m.

Thompson was shot in his torso and buttocks, according to police. He was transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County where he was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing, police said.

Nick was an associate/collaborator of 22Gz, who paid tribute to Nick, writing, “One of the realist and most loyal homies i got id never forget you bro & imma miss you can’t stop thinking bout all the shit we been through and how far we came I wish I was there to save you my nigga 💔sleep easy bro and watch over us I love you save me a spot up there ya legacy could never die bro.”

Just hours before the shooting, Nick had posted on Instagram that his debut mixtape Different Timin would be out June 3.
