Bryan Ferry celebrated Roxy Music's 'Avalon' & more at Capitol Theatre (setlist, video)

Bryan Ferry‘s tour focusing on Roxy Music’s 1982 swan song, Avalon, hit the NYC area on Wednesday (8/7), for a show at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre. Bryan and his band (which includes longtime collaborator/guitarist Chris Spedding) are not playing the album in full, or in order, but they did hit eight of the album’s 10 songs, including its three singles “More Than This,” “Take a Chance with Me” and “Avalon.” They skipped Avalon‘s final two songs, “True to Life” and closing instrumental “Tara.”

Bryan also played a number of other Roxy songs, including “Editions of You,” “In Every Dream Home a Heartache,” “Out of the Blue,” “My Only Love,” “Love is the Drug,” and John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy” (which Roxy covered as a single in 1981 following Lennon’s death). He did a few solo numbers as well, including “Slave to Love,” “Boys and Girls,” and “Let’s Stick Together” which closed out the night. Check out the setlist and video from the Cap show below.

Bryan plays NYC on Friday (8/9) at United Palace and tickets are still available.
