Quietly, Bugg’s heavily '90s alt-leaning demo made some waves upon its initial release, enough for members of Trapped Under Ice and Turnstile to include the band in the Pop Wig stable. Bugg’s latest self-titled LP dives deep into the chasms of that world, conjuring up influences like Dinosaur Jr (that name?) and Lemonheads, as well as the less obvious like Meat Puppets or Teenage Fanclub. Lead by the vocals/riffs of Kora Puckett, who serves as live touring guitarist with Sheer Mag, the three piece’s latest video is for “Whiskey in the Water,” could not be any more '90s -- from the slacker storyline of heading to the corner store, to the skating, to the band riffing in their bedroom with those camera angles. There are a lot of similarities to classic '90s fare like "100%" and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Check out the “Whiskey in the Water” video below for the first time alongside a stream of the LP. Bugg hit the road in the new year for dates on the west coast and south. All tour dates are listed below too.
