'90s-style indie rockers By Surprise put out a new song on a compilation last year, and promised that a new album would come soon. (Their last release was 2013's Criteria EP on Topshelf.) Still no word on that album, but they're now set to release a split with fellow NJ band Aspiga on Asian Man next week (pre-order). We've got the premiere of By Surprise's "Teton Range," which is as driving, crunchy and melodic as stuff like this should be. Check it out below.
