Denver grindcore outfit Call of the Void are gearing up to release a new EP and they've shared a new rager from that EP. It's called "On and On" and it's the kind of mid-tempo hardcore crowd-pleaser that qualifies as a radio banger for this type of music. The band's main goal here seems to be to induce a good headbang, and it succeeds with flying colors with several killer sections squeezed into the 3-minute run time. The vocal performance here too is noteworthy, a powerful bit of old-fashioned front-manning from a group that usually keeps things shorter, faster, and less dramatic. This look works though, and you can listen to the new song here.

The new EP is called AYFKM (Are You Fucking Kidding Me) and drops later this year on Translation Loss. You can pre-order it here.

Meanwhile, Call of the Void just kicked off a tour with Richmond shape-shifters Inter Arma. While that run unfortunately doesn't feature any NYC dates, it's still pretty extensive, so you can catch them if you live pretty much anywhere else on the east coast or in the midwest (including New Haven).
