Cardi B and Bernie Sanders have been showing mutual love for each other lately, and now CNN reports that Cardi will appear in a 2020 presidental campaign video for Bernie that's meant to appeal to young voters. Here's more from CNN:

"We (are) working on a way to involve more young people in the political process," the Vermont independent told CNN in an interview as he arrived for the shoot. "The future of America depends on young people. They are voting in large numbers, but not large enough numbers."

He said he and Cardi B spoke about a range of issues, including canceling student debt, climate change and raising the minimum wage. The video -- filmed at the TEN Nail Bar, a local nail salon owned by two black women -- is the first collaboration between the duo.

After the meeting, Cardi posted a photo of the pair's conversation on Instagram and wrote:

Not me, US. Thank you Senator Bernie Sanders for sitting with me and sharing your plans on how you will change this country. A couple of weeks ago I asked my followers if you had the opportunity to have a question answered by a democratic candidate what would it be ? I got a lot of submission and selected the most popular questions to get answered. Stay tuned to see how he will fight for economic, racial, and social justice for all. Together, let’s build a movement of young people to transform this country.LETS LEARN OUR CANDIDATES!

Bernie also tweeted after:

Today
@iamcardib
and I finally met. We had a great conversation about the future of America.

And let me tell you: Cardi B is right.

Together, we’ll get millions of young people involved in the political process and transform this country. Stay tuned for our video coming soon!

Earlier this month, Cardi had tweeted, "I been reading about Bernie Sanders and I’m really sad how we let him down in 2016 This man been fighting for equal rights,HUMAN rights for such along time.Seeing this country become a better place been really his passion for a long time not a new front for a campaign." Afterwards, Bernie appeared on Kimmel and said Cardi "is really smart, and she's concerned about what's happening." He then added, "She comes from a humble background. She knows what it’s like to live in poverty, to struggle. And she wants to make sure we can improve life for working people in the country, and I’m delighted that she is supportive."

Their more recent talks follow a tweet from April 2018, where Bernie responded to a Cardi B quote that said FDR is "the real 'Make America Great Again' President because if it wasn't for him, older Americans wouldn't even get Social Security." Bernie wrote, "Cardi B is right. If we are really going to make America great we need to strengthen Social Security so that seniors are able to retire with the dignity they deserve."
