After breaking up in 2003, Carissa's Wierd reunited for a couple of 2011 shows, and that's about the last we heard from them (although individual members have remained active, including Jenn Champion, both as S and, more recently, under her own name). In November of 2019, Jenn and Mat Brooke (who formed Band of Horses with Ben Bridwell after CW's dissolution, and later, Grand Archives) got back together to play a few shows in LA, San Francisco, and Seattle in celebration of the 20th anniversary of CW's debut album, Ugly But Honest. While that anniversary has technically come and gone, Jenn and Mat are continuing the celebration with another show, this time in NYC, at Rockwood Music Hall on March 14. They're billing it as "Mat Brooke and Jenn Champion play a stripped down set of Carissa's Wierd songs," and tickets are on sale now. It appears to be the only upcoming date for the duo.
