Last month, Neko Case, k.d. lang and Laura Veirs announced their collaborative album case/lang/veirs, which is out on June 17 via ANTI-. Today they shared a new song, "Best Kept Secret" via their Lenny Letter (Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner's feminist newsletter) interview.

The song was written by Laura about her friend and guitarist Tim Young. In the interview, Neko Case explained the story behind the song:

It was beautiful to see Tim playing guitar on the song that Laura had written about her friend, who she adores and admires. I didn't know him at all until we started making the record, but it was cool to have him come in as this legend and beloved person. I felt as if I was already attached to him, having worked on the song for such a long time. Then he showed up, and he's even greater than I thought!

The supergroup is heading on tour this summer, including a NYC show at Prospect Park on July 26 and New Jersey's XPonNential Music Festival on day 3 (7/24). All tour dates are listed below.
