Caveman playing free acoustic show at Barnes & Noble Union Square tonight (updated dates)

Caveman just wrapped up a lengthy headlining tour, which hit Webster Hall last week. The band, whose eponymous sophomore album came out earlier this month, are catching up on things and going through their junk mail here in their NYC home, but have made time for an acoustic performance tonight (4/18) at Barnes & Noble Union Square. It’s part of the bookstore’s “Upstairs in the Square” series that pairs musicians with authors, in this case Hemlock Grove‘s Brian McGreevy. NPR’s Katherine Lanpher hosts the event that starts at 7 PM. It’s free.

As mentioned, Caveman will soon be on the road again, this time opening for Rogue Wave whose new album, Nightengale Floors, is out in June. Those dates include two in NYC: June 21 at Music Hall of Williamsburg and June 22 and Bowery Ballroom. Tickets to both are currently on AmEx presale with the regular on-sale happening Friday (4/19) at noon.
