Cayetana in Chicago earlier this month (more by Jeff Ryan)

Philly's Cayetana, who we profiled back in November, are finally ready to release their debut LP, Nervous Like Me, on August 26 via Tiny Engines. It includes the single "Hot Dad Calendar" from earlier this year, as well as the brand new single, "Serious Things Are Stupid." The new song opens with just singer Augusta Koch and her guitar, sounding folky but covered in indie rock distortion. Soon though, the band comes crashing in hard with the urgency of a group who want to make an impression on you during the first minute of their debut album. And so far, it's working. Check out the song (via Noisey), with the album artwork and tracklist, below.

Cayetana have come through NYC a few times this year, first on their tour with Waxahatchee and All Dogs and again on their ongoing tour with The Menzingers, PUP and Lemuria. I caught the Webster Hall show with The Menzingers, which they were great at despite going on very early (6:30 PM) to a room that hadn't quite filled out yet. No pictures from that one, but we did post pics of that tour's Chicago stop.

All remaining Menzingers/Cayetana/etc dates are listed, with the new song, artwork and tracklist, below...
