Charly Bliss, Sad13 & Bellows @ Music Hall of Williamsburg (pics)
Charly Bliss, Sad13 (another project of Speedy Ortiz singer Sadie Dupuis), and Bellows played Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on Thursday (9/28). Sad13 and Bellows both asked the crowd to make donations to Puerto Rico after the show, and Sadie joined Charly Bliss on stage to talk about their shared love of Josie and the Pussycats and cover “Three Small Worlds.” They also asked the crowd who was at their Halloween show last year, where Charly Bliss and Sadie played as Josie and the Pussycats, and Emily Reo (who’s also in Sad13) played as Carly Rae Jepsen. The night after the MHOW show, Speedy Ortiz played a not-so-secret set at Silent Barn (9/29). Their tour with Tera Melos hits NYC at the soon-to-be-reopened Market Hotel on 11/2 (tickets). Last night (10/1), Sad13 began her tour with Deerhoof (stay tuned for more on that).
