Futur Skullz is a band from San Francisco, CA.

They are old dudes.

They play metal that is punk.

They are allegedly unimpressed with the following: pants, bands, money, mohawks, leather, spikes, weed wizards, marijuana wolves, muscle cars, chops, cred, music, life.

…But they fucking rule and crush everything.

What happens when you combine members of Weakling, California Love, Look Back and Laugh, Facedowninshit, Fucking Champs, Drunk Horse, Comets on Fire and many other bands into one single monstrosity? You get Futur Skullz, a new project that features Josh Smith, Chris Newsom and Moses Saarni, who welcomed their self-titled debut LP via Kemado this week. Produced by Phil Manley of Trans Am, Futur Skullz toys with crust, raspy black metal vocals, and shades of Justice-era Metallica thrash handled with a maladjusted punk aesthetic. Fans of Toxic Holocaust or any of the aforementioned bands take note. Check out “Gun Fund”, and pick up a copy of the LP via the label.

Speaking of Toxic Holocaust, don’t forget they play Europa on August 19th with Holy Grail and Krum Bums as part of a larger US tour. Tickets are still on sale.
