Cherry Glazerr announce new LP & 2019 tour (watch the "Daddi" video)

Cherry Glazerr will release new album Stuffed & Ready on February 1 via Secretly Canadian, and it will be their first album in two years. “With Apocalipstick, I was an over-confident teenager trying to solve the world’s problems,” says singer/guitarist/songwriter Clementine Creevy. “With Stuffed & Ready, I’m a much more weary and perhaps a more cynical woman who believes you need to figure your own self out first.”

The band, now a trio with keyboardist Sasami Ashworth off pursuing solo work, originally lined up with John Vanderslice to produce the LP but then ended up working with Carlos de la Garza, who co-produced Apocalipstick. “I wanted a producer to push me. I wanted to be questioned, to rip my songs apart and look at their guts and pour myself open again,” says Creevy. “And I wanted it to sound massive.” First single “Daddi” does indeed sound pretty massive, with a huge, roaring chorus. You can watch the animated video, directed by Danny Cole and featuring some weird blobby creatures, below.

Stuffed & Ready also includes this year’s single “Juicy Socks.” Cherry Glazerr will be touring in 2019, including a NYC record release show at Bowery Ballroom on February 16. Tickets will be on sale soon.
