Young LA trio Cherry Glazerr, who released their debut album on Burger Records, have signed to Secretly Canadian. Their debut single for the label is "Told You I'd Be With The Guys," a snarling, moody rocker where singer/guitarist Clementine Creevy rails against sexism:

Sexism is so ingrained in me, I can often feel that men are the only ones who can help me socially, economically. The most important thing in my life is that I've realized I need to work for solidarity. That song's both hopeful and dismal! Women work from behind their oppression. In order to make good art you need to be emotionally free and sadly, not a lot of women are able to do that. That always puts a fire under my ass."

Cherry Glazerr are set to play Joshua Tree, CA's Desert Daze fest next month, and shortly after that will play Brooklyn's Baby's All Right on October 26 with Partybaby. Tickets are on sale. They'll then head to Europe for a couple festivals, including Pitchfork Paris. All dates are listed below.
