Chromatics and Johnny Jewel are part of new 'Twin Peaks' reboot

Among the cast of the new Twin Peaks are a bunch of musicians, including Sharon Van Etten, Trent Reznor, Eddie Vedder, Sky Ferreira, Au Revoir Simone, Finn Andrews of The Veils, and Chromatics singer Ruth Radelet, all of whom, we’re guessing, will probably appear playing at Twin Peaks‘ Bang Bang Bar (aka The Roadhouse). Echo Park confirmed today not only Radelet’s appearance on the show but also that Chromatics and Johnny Jewel will be involved as well. The label shared the above image, featuring the classic yearbook picture of Laura Palmer amidst broken copies of Chromatics’ much-anticipated new album, Dear Tommy. Their icy, synthy, music will certainly fit in with the world David Lynch, Mark Frost and composer Angelo Badalamenti have created. The new Twin Peaks premieres May 21 on Showtime.

To tide you over for Twin Peaks — and that Chromatics album that’s two years overdue — Johnny Jewel has two EPs on the way, titled The Hacker and The Key. No tracks have been shared yet, but preorders for both are available via Italians Do It Better.

If you’re going to Austin for SXSW next week, be sure to stop by the RR Diner for free donuts, pie and coffee.
