Eclectic duo Cibo Matto have broken up. In a statement posted on Facebook, they write that they're "moving to a new phase":

We'd like to thank you so much for your love and support. Hopefully you understand that this is a necessary and positive change for us. We will still be going forward with our own endeavors, and we hope that we can stay in touch with you for the next part of the journey...

...Our band is over but we're not going away. Take care and see you around.

Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori reformed Cibo Matto in 2011 after a nine-year break, and made Hotel Valentine in 2014 (their first album since 1999's Stereo ★ Type A). We look forward to what they each have in store next.
