Circle Jerks postpone 3 East Coast shows (Keith Morris got Covid)
Circle Jerks have had to postpone some East Coast dates on their current 40th anniversary tour with 7Seconds and Negative Approach, as the band posted on Instagram: "It happened. Our singer and fearless road warrior Keith Morris has tested positive for COVID-19." They didn't play their April 5 show in Burlington and there are three upcoming that are affected: tonight's show in Boston (4/7), Friday's Asbury Park show (4/8) and Saturday's Philly show (4/9). The band say they will be making up those shows in July, dates TBA.
The first show back will be April 11 in Stroudsburg, PA and they note that their 4/12 show in Boston is still on.
Circle Jerks play two nights at NYC's Irving Plaza on April 14 & 15 and tickets are still available.
The band note that this has caused a financial hit on support bands 7Seconds and Negative Approach, and "If you would like to support them, we are splitting the profits evenly on the silkscreen poster (signed by Keith, Kevin Seconds, John Brannon) and the tour flyer shirt" that they are selling at the merch table and their webstore. You can check out the poster and shirt in Circle Jerks Instgram below.
You can also pick up the 40th anniversary edition of Circle Jerks' Wild in the Streets, along with other vinyl and merch, in the BV Shop. You can also grab Negative Approach's 10-Song EP 7" and 7Seconds' The Crew deluxe edition on vinyl.
