Clan of Xymox say government shutdown forcing spring tour to be postponed

xymox-2018

Clan of Xymox were to have been in North America in March for a tour but, as Slicing Up Eyeballs points out, that has been postponed till November. The problem: the current government shutdown has made obtaining visas even harder, as the band write on Facebook:

The main reason is that due to unforeseen circumstances related to the US government shutdown, our work visas would not be able to be processed in time. We would simply not being allowed to enter the country to tour.

We truly love and appreciate our American & Canadian fans and want to continue our shows over there. We are assured that all tickets purchased will be valid for November or you will get a refund if needed.

We hope we will see you then.

The tour was to have wrapped up at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on March 23. All postponed tour dates are listed below.

With the Government Shutdown now in Day 35, Clan of Xymox are likely not the only foreign artist affected by this. SXSW is in two months with musicians and filmmakers coming from all over the world, and visas are already a yearly issue. Stay tuned.
