CMJ being sued by former employees alleging unpaid wages

The drama surrounding CMJ continues, as Pitchfork reports that two former employees of the company, David DeKeyser and Jessica Levy, filed a lawsuit today in Manhattan, alleging that they are owed unpaid wages and overtime. The collective action lawsuit (meaning that other employees can join it), which is against CMJ Holdings, owner Adam Klein, and his company Abaculi Media,  claims that CMJ “intentionally, willfully and repeatedly” violated federal and New York labor laws. If you enjoy reading legal documents, you can scan the whole thing.

There was no CMJ Music Marathon this year but Klein said earlier this year it will be back. Stay tuned.
