Coachella 2017 night one is a wrap after a blissful but technical difficulty filled set by Radiohead. Also on Friday were Father John Misty, Guided by Voices, The xx, Travis Scott, Little Dragon, Shannon & The Clams, The Avalanches (with Spank Rock), Phantogram, Richie Hawtin, Jagwar Ma, DJ Shadow, Empire of the Sun, Denzel Curry, D.R.A.M., Stormzy, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Sampha, Bonobo, Tacocat, Mac DeMarco, Francis and the Lights, Crystal Castles (whose new singer was wearing a Type O Negative shirt on the 7th anniversary of Peter Steele’s death) and more.

There were a few of surprise guests during sets too: The Lemon Twigs brought out Todd Rundgren; Tim Armstrong of Rancid joined The Interrupters; and the Zipper Club had Curt Smith from Tears for Fears come out to sing ’80s classic “Mad World.”

Check out photos from the whole day in the gallery above, and stay tuned for more soon.

Weekend 1 of Coachella continues today (4/15) and Sunday (4/16). Check out the set times, and the schedule for the live stream. (Some sets will broadcast on Sirius XM, too)

We also have a guide to hip hop at Coachella, some movie and TV related acts to look out for, and five artists not to miss.
