After contributing to the new Chance the Rapper album, CocoRosie released their first new song in two years, "Lamb & the Wolf," and today they announced what will be their first album in four and a half years, Put The Shine On, due March 6 via Marathon Artists (pre-order). It features "Lamb & the Wolf," as well as the just-released "Smash My Head," which sounds like classic CocoRosie, until it goes off into outer space Flaming Lips territory at the end. It's pretty cool stuff -- listen and watch the Bianca Casady-directed video below. Here's what the duo says about it:

For us, our song "Smash My Head" is a running-on-fire cry from the teenage heart, an inner scream we never dared to let out. The song climaxes in an exaltation, an expression of ecstatic death. It journeys from a hard-knock desert childhood scene to a transcendent cosmic passing to another realm.
