Colin Self shares new single "Dispossesed"

Experimental pop artist Colin Self released the very good Siblings last year, and it was one of five overlooked albums we highlighted. Now he’s shared a new single, “Dispossesed,” a cathartic electro-pop track rich with gorgeous orchestration and horns that reminds me a little of the widescreen grandeur of M83’s Hurry Up We’re Dreaming. Colin performs what he says are the “final Siblings Euro shows” this month, on November 15 and 16 at Germany’s Trauma Bar Berlin. They’re to be the the “German premiere of the full Siblings opera production,” and “likely the last time we will get to do this show,” Colin says.
