Colter Wall announces new album 'Western Swing & Waltzes and Other Punchy Songs,' shares song

Country singer Colter Wall announced a new album, Western Swing & Waltzes and Other Punchy Songs, on August 28 via La Honda Records/Thirty Tigers. Having previously worked with Dave Cobb, Colter produced this one himself and recorded it with his touring band — Patrick Lyons (pedal steel, dobro, mandolin), Jake Groves (harmonica), Jason Simpson (bass), and Aaron Goodrich (drums) — plus Emily Gimble on piano and Doug Moreland on fiddle. Colter says, “These songs are punchier than I am.”

The first single is “Western Swing & Waltzes,” and as you’d expect from Colter, it sounds like a lost ’70s country gem but it also sounds fresh today. Listen and check out the artwork and tracklist below.
