Brooklyn's Combo Chimbita have signed to ANTI- and will release their new album on the label in 2019. The band rose up through the scene at Brooklyn club Barbes, played Elsewhere's opening night and practice what they call Tropical Futurism -- "the idea that ancestral knowledge can represent a magical and substantial future outside the boundaries of white, Western ideals" -- inspired by Sun Ra Arkestra, psych rock, and more. For a taste of what's to come, they've just shared new single "Testigo," which you can listen to below.

Combo Chimbita play Lincoln Center's David Rubenstein Atrium tonight (11/26, 7 PM) which is a free show, and will soon be on tour with Parquet Courts for a few shows starting Friday (11/30) in Pittsburgh, and including dates in Columbus, Cleveland and Chicago. They're currently not on Parquet Courts' NYC show at Hammerstein Ballroom on 12/8 which is with Sun Ra Arkestra. They'll also play NYC's globalFEST at Copacabana on January 6 with Jeremy Dutcher and more.
