Coney Island Baby, the East Village club that opened in April, 2018 in the former HiFi/Brownies space, is undergoing some renovations and is currently closed. As EV Grieve notes, the exterior has been painted white and the “Coney Island Baby” name has been painted over. There has been no official word, but a co-owner told EV Grieve that the space is undergoing a “quick reboot” and we’ve heard they’re going for a “night club vibe” with not much in the way of shows. Stay tuned.

Some shows that were scheduled for Coney Island Baby have been moved, like the 8/16 Catenary Wires show with Pale Lights and Jeanines which is now happening at Berlin Under A (which is also owned by Jesse Malin). Tickets are still available.

The Raconteurs played Coney Island Baby in July as part of their record release week in NYC.
