Basically all concerts are cancelled and all NYC venues are closed, so that means Two Minutes to Late Night, the heavy metal talk show that tapes at Brooklyn metal club Saint Vitus, can't go on as usual.

No matter, Two Minutes to Late Night got together some of their talented friends to all team up on a heavy metal cover of Weird Al's Devo parody "Dare To Be Stupid" from their individual bedrooms, and they put it all together in a video that you can watch now. It's got Two Minutes' Gwarsenio Hall, "Weird Al" Vira, and Kevin the Transformers Fan joined by Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man, etc) and Ben Koller (Converge, Mutoid Man, etc), who are both in the Two Minutes house band, as well as special guests Ben Hutcherson (Khemmis, Glacial Tomb) and Mitch Wells (Thou). The whole thing looks like it was a blast to make and it's fun to watch too. You've never heard Weird Al or Devo like this.

Two Minutes To Late Night writes:

Twinkie Weiner Sandwiches! We got a bunch of musicians to cover our favorite Weird Al song from the comfort of their own bedrooms (and Ben's practice space.) We started filming parts of this song in January with plans and demos laid out for a series of bedrooms covers to come; completely unaware of the oncoming pandemic. Now, with so many musicians stuck at home with no outlets, we're going to keep producing these style videos and use the Patreon to give some money to everyone who has a part in them. Please support our friends by donating to our newly redone Patreon at www.honorableswords.com.

In related news, Khemmis just released a Devo cover, and Converge frontman J Bannon's Deathwish label is selling albums on Bandcamp for $1 or more to help combat loss of income from the coronavirus outbreak, including a few Converge releases.
