Coriky (Ian MacKaye, Joe Lally, Amy Farina) release new song, set new album release date

Coriky, the new band of Ian MacKaye (Fugazi, Minor Threat, The Evens, etc), Joe Lally (Fugazi, The Messthetics, etc), and Amy Farina (The Evens, The Warmers, etc), released their vital debut single “Clean Kill” earlier this year, and they were suppoed to release their self-titled debut album in March, but they delayed it due to coronavirus. Now it finally has a release date again, and second single “Too Many Husbands” is out.

Amy sings lead on this one, but instrumentally, it’s cut from a similar cloth as the Ian MacKaye-sung “Clean Kill,” which brought back more of the Fugazi-esque grit than Ian’s music had had in a while. Amy’s soaring voice fits perfectly with Ian’s off-kilter riffage, as you can hear for yourself below.

The album comes out digitally June 12 via Dischord, and LP and CD pre-orders will start shipping on May 29. It will be available in stores starting June 26.
