It’s been less than a year since Courtney Barnett released her breakout album Sometimes I Sit and Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit. Now she’s starting off the year releasing new material featured on her Australian label Milk! Record’s compilation, Good For You, which is out on February 14. In her new song, “Three Packs A Day”, she sings about her addiction — she’s not smoking three packs a day, she’s just really into ramen. Listen below.

The compilation also features tracks by Jen Cloher, The Finks, Fraser A. Gorman, The East Brunswick All Girls Choir, and Ouch My Face.

In other news, Courtney also appeared on the Song Exploder podcast, talking about how her song “Depreston” came to be. It’s pretty interesting, saying the seeds came from trying to learn to play a Go-Betweens song. Listen to that below as well.

Courtney will next be in NYC in June for this year’s Governors Ball. She’s also added a few North American dates surrounding her Coachella appearance. All dates are listed below.
