Courtney Barnett & Kurt Vile have just shared "Over Everything," the opening track and first single from their much-anticipated collaborative album, Lotta Sea Lice, which is out October 13. It's a dreamy, twangy track that has Kurt and Courtney trading verses. “I started spacing out and writing a song for Courtney," Vile said. "I had a fantasy that she would sing it with me." It's clearly a Vile-style song and you can listen to that, and check out the full album tracklist, below.

Mick Turner and Jim White of the Dirty Three, Stella Mozgawa from Warpaint, and Aussie icon Mick Harvey also contributed Lotta Sea Lice, and Stella will be part of the rotating live band, The Sea Lice, backing Kurt and Courtney at shows. Janet Weiss, Rob Laakso, and Katie Harkin round out The Sea Lice.

You can catch Kurt and Courtney on tour this fall with their backing band The Sea Lice (which features members of Sleater-Kinney and Warpaint), includes shows at NYC’s Beacon Theatre (sold out) and NJ’s Loews State Theatre on November 6 (tickets).

Check out the video, directed by Danny Cohen, which has Courtney and Kurt miming each other's lines:

The song premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show, and it comes in around the three-minute mark:

Update: It's on Spotify now too:
