Boss Hog lept back into action 2016, releasing their first new record in 16 years which didn't miss a beat. If you haven't checked that out, listen to "Wichita Grey" below. Look out for their new full-length, Brood X, in March.

Like a lot of artists, 2016 has also been a politically charged one. When we asked Boss Hog for a Top 10 list, singer Cristina Martinez offered up a protest-oriented one -- Top 10 Cute Animals -- saying, "Look at these guys. they’re so cute! They feel no pain. Blissfully fucking ignorant. God bless ‘em. Clearly I haven’t managed to get past even initial (denial) stage of grief since the election." The band, which of course also features Jon Spencer, have a few European dates lined up for February 2017 and those are listed, along with the recent New York Daily News cover she happened to be on (protesting) below.
