Brazil’s CSS released their fourth album, Planta, about a month ago, which was produced by Dave Sitek and found the band exploring some new sonic territory. Live, though, the band remain in full party mode with singer Lovefoxxx front and center. She was in full effect last night at Bowery Ballroom, the first of two NYC shows on the band’s tour. Through more than a couple costume changes, she and the band hit some of Planta‘s highlights while working in favorites like “Music is My Hot Hot Sex,” “Hits Me Like a Rock,” and “Let’s Make Love and Listen to Death from Above.” (What no “Alala”?) Setlist below.

Los Angeles’ IO Echo got the crowd warmed up and will do so again when CSS play tonight (7/9) at Brooklyn Bowl. Tickets are still available.
