Cut Worms, aka singer-songwriter Max Clarke, is back with new single "Castle in the Clouds." This is the first we've heard of sessions he cut in Memphis at Sam Phillips Studio with producer Matt Ross-Spang (John Prine, Jason Isbell, Margo Price), which are good fits for Max's nostalgic, dreamy, Everly Brothers style. "Castle in the Clouds" is swooning stuff, from the pedal steel to the gorgeous harmonies.

“‘Castle in the Clouds’ was the first one we did,” says Clarke. “I remember being in the studio, thinking the control room looked like the bridge on a spaceship. It reminded me of the old Carl Sagan Cosmos, where he’s kind of hovering above, transporting you across the universe. I always really liked the theme song. I think that spirit found its way onto the recording.” The video has that spacey vibe as well -- watch below.

Cut Worms' last record was his debut album, 2018's Hollow Ground.
