Cyndi Lauper, Indigo Girls & more playing Carly Simon tribute at Carnegie Hall

As mentioned, the 2020 edition of Michael Dorf’s annual “The Music Of…” benefit concert celebrates the music of Carly Simon at Carnegie Hall on March 19. The lineup for the show has now been revealed, and will include performances from Cyndi Lauper, Indigo Girls, Michael McDonald, Rachael Price of Lake Street Dive, Livingston Taylor (James Taylor’s brother), Carly and James’ son and daughter Ben and Sally Taylor, John Forte, Resistance Revival Chorus, Darlene Love, Ken Burns, and Linda Perry, with more to be announced.

Tickets go on sale today (12/27), and proceeds go to music education programs for underserved youth.

“This year’s tribute will be very special given the involvement of Carly herself,” Michael Dorf says. “We are very lucky to have her helping us connect with her friends and help shape what will be one of the greatest nights of music in NYC.”

“I’m so proud to be involved with bringing music into the lives of underprivileged children, it’s a tribute to them,” Carly says. “I will be singing along with all of the exceptional performers who have given their time. If it’s only in the rehearsals, I’m going to be footloose in the aisles.”
