Dallas TX's Siamese make slinky, sultry dreampop with a dusting of glitter and a theatrical bent that really shows itself at their live shows. The band's debut EP, The Mesmerist, is out March 3 and we've got the premiere of "Older Hands Prevail." The song is one of the more delicate ones on the EP, with Siamese's groovy side not showing itself til more than halfway through. "'Older Hands Prevail' is one of the tracks from ’The Mesmerist' that we wrote in the studio," says guitarist Teddy Georgia Waggy. "There’s a plethora of musical toys at Elmwood and we wanted to include a couple songs that had room for experimentation. In particular, there's a sitar-guitar at the studio that we used, and I love the way it barrels in at the end. I just couldn’t help slathering it with fuzz." Siamese will be playing SXSW this year, and will be touring afterwards. No East Coast shows, though. All tour dates are listed below.
