The great indie-folk singer Damien Jurado has announced the "Over Rainbows" tour for this spring. Here's the premise, in Damien's words:

Early mornings, longer nights. Flowers that begin to open and stretch towards the sun. Life peeking its head after a long slumber. Long stretches of roads leading somewhere, nowhere. Friends, strangers, young and old gather together to see and to hear. Together the sun, rain and sky making something glorious.

This spring, Damien Jurado will be hitting the road with some friends for the "Over Rainbows" tour. Not to worry, the 50 State Tour has not been forgotten or abandoned, just put aside for this short while to be picked up again later. "Over Rainbows" will be hitting fifteen cities this spring.

The tour includes a Brooklyn show on May 24 at Murmrr Theatre. Tickets for that show go on sale Wednesday (2/14) at 9 AM. All dates are listed below.

Damien's latest album is 2016's very good Visions Of Us On The Land, the third and final installment of his 'Maraqopa' trilogy with producer Richard Swift. Watch the video for "Exit 353" off of that album, below.
