UK electronic artist Daniel Avery will release his sophomore album, Song for Alpha, on Friday (4/6) via Mute. It's the followup to his 2013 debut Drone Logic (which notably featured Kelly Lee Owens), and it mixes dance music with decidedly spacey atmosphere for an ethereal trip which would likely appeal to fans of Boards of Canada. Daniel is on tour in North America as we speak, having wrapped up West Coast dates this past weekend, with East Coast dates starting later this week, including a FIXED party at Brooklyn's Good Room on Friday (4/6).
