UK electronic pop band Darkstar will release their third album, Foam Island, on October 2 via Warp, and so far it seems like another shift for the group. Their first album, 2010's North, had a clear dubstep/garage influence but 2013's News From Nowhere was more of an ambient pop album that sometimes sounded like Animal Collective. Of the new songs, "Pin Secure," is bass-heavy psychedelia and "Through The Motions" sounds like an electronic take on chamber pop. Both are good -- listen below.

Darkstar's only upcoming shows at the moment are in Europe, but hopefully they make it back to the US soon too. All dates are listed below.
