Soulful country-inflected crooner Daughn Gibson played Union Hall on Friday (5/11), one of two dates in NYC for the Pearls & Brass drummer in celebration of his new LP All Hell. The Union Hall show saw Daughn Gibson play support to NYC band Lightouts along with a solo set from Todd Goldstein of ARMS (who played some solo/acoustic material from his band). Pictures of Daughn Gibson and Todd Goldstein are in this post.

Daugh Gibson’s set featured sampled beats and live guitar, with the Carlisle, Pennsylvania vocalist doing his Johnny-Cash style vocals over top of it all. His live vocals were impeccable, and Gibson’s coordinated dance moves and likable stage persona had one set of ladies in the front row going crazy.

Daughn Gibson went on to join True Widow at Union Pool on Saturday (5/12) as part of the latter’s campaign of the East Coast.
