UK trio Daughter still haven't announced a followup to 2016's very good Not To Disappear, but singer Elena Tonra has announced her debut solo album, which is coming out this week on 4AD/Glassnote (pre-order). It's under the moniker Ex:Re and it's self-titled, and going by lead single "Romance," it's in a similar minimal, melancholic style to Daughter. The new song is great stuff, and the Antonia Luxem-directed hazy video suits it well. Check it out, along with the tracklist, below. That's the artwork above.

Speaking about the album, Elena said:

Although the record is written for someone, a lot of the time it’s about the space without that person in it. In every scenario, there's either the person in memory or the noticeable absence of that person in the present moment. I suppose it is a break-up record, however I do not talk about the relationship at all, and he hardly features in the scenes. He is only felt as a ghostly presence.

Elena will also celebrate the release with a London show on Wednesday (11/28). No other dates announced at the moment.
