Dave Hill will change the way you think about “12 Days of Christmas” forever

As mentioned, Live From Here with Chris Thile concluded its fall 2019 season at Town Hall on Saturday (12/14), and one of the evening's guests was comedian, author, occasional BV contributor and death metal shredder Dave Hill. For his seasonal segment, Dave, backed by the house band vamping along, told a unique, slightly dark and violent, and very funny take on "The Twelve Days of Christmas," interjecting guitar solos throughout. On Tuesday (12/17), Dave hosts a 15th anniversary part for Metal Injection at Brooklyn's Saint Vitus, and he also performs with his band Witch Taint. The lineup also includes Cloud Rat and an all-star jam with members of Type O Negative, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Revocation, Candiria, and more. Tickets are still on sale.

Dave also released a new book, Parking the Moose: One American's Epic Quest to Uncover His Incredible Canadian Roots, earlier this year.
