David Johansen playing NY Dolls songs @ Jonathan Toubin's Soul Clap (which is now at Elsewhere)
Jonathan Toubin‘s long-running New York Night Train Soul Clap & Dance Off party officially has a new home: recently-opened Bushwick venue Elsewhere. It happens monthly and will take over the whole venue, with bands and DJs in both the main Hall and the smaller Zone One room, and DJs in The Loft bar. The first Soul Clap at Elsewhere is on January 20 and for it David Johansen will headline, doing a set of NY Dolls classics, solo stuff and more with his “all-star band.” Also playing are Daddy Long Legs, Baby Shakes and Beechwood. Tickets are on sale now. If you just want to go to the late-night dance-party portion, you can buy tickets just for that too. Set times below.
