David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption 2018 L.A. lineup: RZA, Grace Jones, Jonsi, more
Though he just brought Festival of Disruption to Brooklyn, David Lynch has not given up on Los Angeles, and the third edition of the fest happens October 13 & 14 at The Theatre at Ace Hotel. The music lineup includes RZA performing his 36th Chamber of Shaolin live score, a collaboration between Mike Patton & DJ Qbert, Vic Mensa, Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry, Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Smitzer Orchestra, Dover Quartet playing Twin Peaks, Earth's Dylan Carlson, and more. Also: Sigur Rós' Jónsi, along with Alex Somers and Paul Corley will be presenting their immersive Soundbath installation for their Liminal ambient album.
On the Talks & Screenings side: Grace Jones will be on hand to talk about and present a screening of the Bloodlight and Bami documentary; there's a talk with Carrie Brownstein; a David Lynch Q&A "with coffee and donuts"; and Francis Ford Coppola will be on hand to talk about and present a screening of his not-well-received 1996 film, Jack, which starred Robin Williams.
There will also be art exhibits, meditation and more. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 20 at 10 AM Pacific and you can check out the full Festival of Disruption LA 2018 lineup below.
RZA is doing his live score for 36th Chamber in NYC this summer as part of Lincoln Center Out of Doors.
