As previously mentioned, rap legends De La Soul are releasing the new crowdfunded album And the Anonymous Nobody on August 26, with guest appearances by Damon Albarn, Little Dragon, David Byrne, Pete Rock, and more. The Snoop Dogg-featuring single "Pain" is out now, and it's the kind of song that'll take you right back to De La and Snoop's prime era. Listen below.

De La Soul will play NYC's Governors Ball this weekend, and they're one of the 20 artists we recommend seeing. All De La Soul dates are listed below.

Speaking of Pete Rock (and golden age rap in general), Pete Rock & CL Smooth will headline the 'The Golden Age of Hip Hop Pt. 6' show on September 11 at SOB's in NYC with Roxanne, Shante, Brand Nubian, Spoonie Gee, Super Lover Cee & Casanova Rud, and Grand Daddy I.U. Tickets are on sale now. Pete Rock also plays that previously-mentioned Rahzel show at Brooklyn Bowl in July with Large Professor and DJ JS1.

Brand Nubian also play the 'For The Love of Hip Hop Concert Series' on July 8 at BB King's in NYC with Kool G Rap headlining, plus Lil Mo, DJ Norie and DJ Superstar Jay. Tickets are on sale.
