Dead Bars

Dead Bars releasing 'Regulars,' opening for Bouncing Souls (stream a track)

Seattle punks Dead Bars signed to A-F Records last year, and now they’re set to release their new album Regulars on May 3 via their new label home (pre-order). We’re premiering the song “I’m A Regular,” which mixes sludgy guitars and power pop melodies in a way that Weezer or Dinosaur Jr fans will probably dig (and throws in a classic rock guitar solo that those fans will also probably dig), and there’s also a little Lawrence Arms-y grit in the vocals. The album was produced by grunge legend Jack Endino, who knows a thing or two about mixing pop and aggression, so it’s no surprise that these guitars sound so big. Check it out below.

Dead Bars have a few upcoming shows, including a hometown album release show, Montreal’s Pouzza Fest, and a NJ show opening for home state heroes The Bouncing Souls (who are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year). The show with Bouncing Souls happens this Saturday (3/16) at White Eagle Hall with Strike Anywhere also on the bill, and it’s sold out. All Dead Bars dates are listed below.
